Hi everyone! I have been a friend of Megan’s for two years and just wanted to share a little of what she has been able to do for me in my life. Hopefully, it will give you a better understanding of what you can expect following along her journey, learning from her, or working with her in the future. (which I recommend you do).
When I met Megan in 2019, I was overweight (200lbs), unhappy, depressed, and struggling with my eating habits daily. Fast-forward to now; I am 160.4 lbs. I lost 40 pounds, my mental state is clear, and I know exactly what to eat, how to eat, and how to maintain my ideal healthy weight. I can finally see my abs again! I’m also in a better headspace and choose to look at life in a much more optimistic way since I’ve gotten to work with Megan.
You should understand that we are all in different places in our lives, and you will all be in different areas of your journey. This area of life is where I was, and Megan knew how to turn it around and help me get back on track to a healthy lifestyle. She helped me to realize and solve problems within myself that I didn’t even know I had!
You should also understand that being a holistic health coach is much more than just telling you what to eat to lose weight. It’s about teaching you how to live a healthier life in every aspect, allowing you to live up to your true potential and achieve real, lasting change and fulfillment. Megan is the epitome of what a holistic health coach should be. The energy she brings to the table will motivate you to do better and improve the quality of your life drastically.
Over two years (the process could have happened much faster, but I was stubborn), Megan dove into my eating habits; It’s simple, ‘just eat real food,’ she would say. That may sound confusing to some of you right now, but I can assure you it is that simple. Foods today are packed full of chemicals and preservatives, among other things, which are not acceptable for human consumption.
Megan has the knowledge and expertise in this area to help you sort through the garbage and get the right items onto your plate. Trust her and the process! Not only did my waistline slim down and my abs start to emerge from the abyss, but I also began to feel so much better than I had in years.
Over time my body began to remove and cleanse itself of these chemicals by simply eating real foods. I have gotten to the point where if I eat something extremely unhealthy (like I was every day before), my body will reject it, and I will throw it up. That may be too much information, but it paints a good picture of how your body will adapt to being filled with the correct nutrition and shows exactly how toxic the things people eat every day are.
Before working with Megan, I felt like I was sick almost every other week. I enjoyed the times I wasn’t because I knew before too long I would have a cough or congestion come creeping back. I always wondered why I was sick and not feeling well all the time. Since incorporating real foods and the things Megan has taught me throughout this process, I have not been sick once!
I also struggled with an Afrin addiction before working with Megan. I had been spraying chemicals that I had no clue about up my nose for five years, not knowing what kind of damage was being done. As I said, I was always sick and congested. This addiction was another problem solved through Megan’s coaching. Her understanding of holistic health and the value that it can have in someone’s life is inspiring and will help you along your journey. She has a positive and uplifting coaching style, which people who are unhappy in these areas of their lives are searching for; I can speak from experience.
I have always worked out and thought of myself as someone who knew what I was doing in the gym. However, I still had pains here and there, and I wondered where they were coming from and the underlying issues.
Megan was a competitive gymnast for much of her younger life and has a B.S. in exercise science, and her experience is extensive and evident. She showed me that I wasn’t doing some movements/exercises properly that I thought I had been doing correctly for years. Megan was able to show me exactly how I was doing the exercise incorrectly and how I could do it differently to achieve better results. She also showed me how the way I was doing it could cause pain in certain areas and cause other muscles to be under/overused.
Honestly, Megan was able to look at my body and see muscles that were underdeveloped and recommended exercises to help develop those muscles. She is very in tune with the body, knowing how to make it perform at optimal levels and keep it there. Her knowledge is very diverse and equates to one thing, a healthier you!
Lastly, travel is also a big part of Megan’s holistic health coaching style, and I can vouch for the need to travel. I had the opportunity to travel to many places with Megan. Throughout our journeys, I started to understand why it was essential to explore the world and why it was crucial for overall health as an individual.
For me, traveling is a way to experience new things and to diversify my knowledge of new areas and cultures I have never experienced before. It is highly intriguing for me to discover and experience new places, and it brings a sense of happiness and fulfillment to my life. The world is a boundless place; it’s cool to see beautiful places that you could only dream of otherwise.
Whether you’re looking to clean up your plate to become healthier, gain more knowledge of how to exercise properly, reduce or eliminate pain and injury, or feel unfulfilled in life and want to find your true self, there is no one I would recommend more than Megan Adolph. Her experience in all of these areas is vast, and her personality and coaching style make it enjoyable to learn from her.
